About the Sunbeam Talbot 90

The Sunbeam Talbot 90 was the replacement for the model 80. Four versions were produced during the production run, the MKI, MKII, MKIIA and the MKIII. The cars were built in saloon and DHC guise. There was also a two seater roadster model of the car called the Sunbeam Alpine. These cars were made famous in the various motor ralles of the 1950s. The earliest car was just slightly slower than the later models with a smaller 64 bhp, 1944 cc engine and a top speed of 90 mph. The compression ration listed here is for the last model and the earlier cars varied slightly from this. A 4 speed gearbox was fitted with a column change.
