About the AC 16/80
AC 16/60, 16/70, and 16/80 series of cars were produced from 1936 to 1939, The sports 2 seaters were one of the prettiest sports cars of their era. The 16/80.produced more power than the 16/70, still using the AC 1991 cc engine, fitted with triple carburettors. It had a 106ins wheelbase short chassis, with slab-tank bodywork up to 1937. It was available with a Synchromesh pre-selector gearbox or a crash gearbox. A version with an Arnott blower fitted was called the 16/90.
